West Side Story

Michael Brenner for BB Promotions in Cooperation with Sundance Productions, IncNew York, USA7 - 30 April 06, Fri - Sun, Theatre
West Side Story, one of the most phenomenal musicals ever produced, is making its Singapore debut, as an authentic and yet fresh production. The creation of Jerome Robbins, Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim, West Side Story is a modern-day Romeo and Juliet, with brilliant choreography directed by multiple Tony-award nominee, Joey McNeely.
McKneely and his team brings to life the tender love story of Tony and Maria, young lovers caught in the web of ethnic conflicts between New York’s working class and immigrants. McKneely is one of only three directors worldwide to have the official right from Robbins Rights Trust to produce this unique inheritance as an original production of West Side Story.
A must-watch production, West Side Story combines the amazing music of Bernstein/Sondheim, including favourites such as “Tonight” and “Maria”, with fast-paced, energy-charged choreography. It is an intoxicating production that has already won the hearts of critics and audiences the world over.

jazzy's review: it was marvellous! i enjoyed myself so much, till now i'm still humming the song "tonight" at the back of my mind. gotta thank joachim and his friend, tian lan, who managed to get me such a great deal (50% discount for my tix!). and birdie, you missed a good show. i officially tendered my resignation letter. let's hope this one month is a breeze and not hell for me. i will try to refrain myself from using the word "fark" on her (behind her back of coz), she better not bug me.

daddy went for eye-check up today and he had to go for some eye operation (don't ask me what happened, medical terms are alien words to me). according to my mum, it's gonna be a minor one, gotta be something similar to lasik, no hospitalisation is needed. however, now i'm kinda worried as the operation will be in late may, and my dad needs to drive on the road very often, sort of dangerous. *sighs*

i'm starting to continue planning for my birthday, to see updates click here .

with the intention to quit, things just simply slowed down for me or i just simply hecked care.
boss got SFF tics for us yesterday, i tell you i damn yearned wanted to go for it...
but becoz she will be there, i know i wont be able to enjoy myself watching the fashion show, she will be there telling me to look out how ppl build the stage, look at the lightings, blah blah, those work related stuffs... this really turn me off...
more over, it was my off day yesterday, the more my mum encourage me not to go so i went to my mum and dad's company dinner. i didn't inform her i wasn't going, instead i told my colleague if she's looking for me then tell her i have something urgent at home...
my resgination was strongly encouraged by my parents and sister... which makes me feel even secure that i should quit...

anyway, i was on leave yesterday as i got an interview from smu... it was just diaster to me... geee :(
firstly, i was half an hour late, woke up late and couldn't get a cab... *ar bish*
when i got there, i still had to wait for the interview to start (wth!) so there was this interview talking about US losing talen quest, very economical vs political vs society issue. i have completely not much of an idea to comment about it... im not interested in this topic... let me have topics like teenagers hanging out late at nights and not going home or generation gaps between parents and children or related stuffs... *sighs*
after the interview, i went for essay writing, topic: Describe the country you love most. shucks... my mind went blank for a moment... and there "ting ting"... Singapore! there i began crapping and crapping....
now waiting for them to let me hear the results...
how how how? no school wants me... *sobs*
